Dr. Hannah Reidy
Hannah gained a degree in Experimental Psychology at Oxford University and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London. She is registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the UK Health and Care Professions Council.
Hannah has over thirteen years of experience in the field of mental health, helping clients across the lifespan to manage troubles including anxiety, low mood, school or workplace stress, relationship difficulties and trauma. She has expertise working with older adolescents and young adults, and the problems arising due to often challenging transitions at this life-stage. She holds a particular specialism in psychosis.
Hannah offers therapy using evidence based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as employing techniques from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and some Psychodynamic principles. Her approach to therapy is collaborative and consultative, with regular reviews to ensure that the client is comfortable with the progress being made.
Hannah is also the CEO of Mind Hong Kong, a mental health charity working to help ensure that no one in Hong Kong has to manage a mental health problem alone, as well as lecturing at HKU on their Masters in Psychosis programme.
In her spare time, Hannah loves to travel, cook, and walk her two rescue dogs along Hong Kong’s many beautiful trails.
She can be seen by appointment at our Central clinic. Hannah’s husband is a House Master at Harrow International School, and as such she prefers not to see patients studying at this institution.
