Dr. Jacqueline Wolf

Dr. Wolf holds a Doctorate of Psychology from The George Washington University in Washington, DC and a BS (Honors) in Human Development from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She completed her pre-doctoral internship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at NYU Medical Center in New York and a post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

With over 9 years of experience working in the field of child psychology, Dr. Wolf specializes in therapy with children and adolescents for range of complex social-emotional and mental health issues, as well as in the assessment of neurodevelopmental and learning disorders. Dr. Wolf also has a specialized interested in assessing students with gifted cognitive abilities.

Assessment: Dr. Wolf utilizes a strengths-based approach in her psycho-educational evaluations. Her evaluations provide an in depth view of a child’s cognitive abilities, learning style, academic achievement, as well as social-emotional and behavioral functioning to build a holistic picture of the child’s functioning and capabilities across all settings. Dr. Wolf’s feedback and assessment reports provide individualized recommendations for guiding education planning, an intervention plan for remediating areas of academic difficulty, and parent- and teacher-focused strategies to support behavioral challenges that may be impacting learning outcomes. She also works closely with learning support teams to develop personalized curriculum paths and individual education plans (IEPs) to support children with additional learning, behavioral and/or extension needs.

Therapy: Dr. Wolf uses evidence-based best practice techniques based on a combination of cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapy models. She enjoys working with children and adolescents with a broad range of mental health issues including anxiety/stress, low mood, interpersonal difficulties, and challenges with emotional regulation. Her work focuses on building personal resilience for managing stress, promoting healthy family relationships and communication skills, and supporting the development of active coping strategies for managing the ups and downs of adolescent life.

Accreditation: Dr. Wolf is a US licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in child psychology. She is accredited by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, an international affiliate member of the American Psychological Association (APA), and a member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS). She has completed training to support high conflict families as a Parent Coordinator and certification to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).
