Odile Thiang

Odile joins our team as the Client Care Coordinator from The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Odile completed her Bachelor of Nursing as well as her combined Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Masters of Nursing degree at the University of Toronto, with her Nurse Practitioner clinical training completed at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Odile has started her nursing career at the Hospital for Sick Children 9 years ago where she has been a part of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine team, Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect (SCAN) team and the General Pediatric Medicine team. In the Emergency Department she was in a leadership position as a Clinical Support nurse, where she has championed quality improvement initiatives in mental health care. As a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, Odile worked with the SCAN team, supporting survivors’ medical and mental health needs. Upon the completion of her Masters of Nursing Odile was hired as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with the General Pediatric Medicine team and the Pediatric Emergency Medicine team, where she medically managed outpatients and inpatients. Odile has also taken on educational rolls clinically, both at the Hospital for Sick Children and on assignment in Doha, Qatar with Sick Kids International. Her extensive experience has allowed Odile to cultivated a strong focus on general pediatrics, pediatric mental health, and adolescent medicine, with unique exposure to transgender care as well as adolescent-parent support.
