Karen received her education at the University of Hull with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Hons) and a Master’s degree in Speech and Language Sciences at the University of College London, UK. She is a certified member of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist (RCSLT), The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and The Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists (HKAST).
Karen is a bilingual speech therapist and is fluent in Cantonese and English. She worked with individuals in a range of settings, including non-government organizations, international schools, local kindergartens and private practices to provide individual and group speech therapy service.
Karen feels passionately about working with people with speech, language and social communication difficulties. Karen’s clinical expertise lies in working with clients with special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, and Developmental Language Disorder. She is a firm believer in early identification and intervention, as well as the importance of building rapport with the child and his/her family to ensure successful therapy delivery and optimized outcomes.
