Dr Michelle Leung

Clinical Psychologist

Michelle Leung has completed a master’s degree in mental health studies from King’s College London and has a doctorate in clinical psychology from University College London. Prior to her clinical training, she worked with a research team at the University of Hong Kong, focusing on promoting students’ mental health and preventing self-harm and suicide.

Dr Leung worked in the paediatric psychology team at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in the UK, working with young clients and their families who have long-term health conditions. She also has experience working with young people struggling with body image and self-identity issues, eating disorders, depression and anxiety, and sexual trauma. Her clinical work is informed by cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), commitment focused therapy (CFT) and systemic and narrative approaches. Dr Leung conducts psychoeducational assessments with children and adolescents. She practices in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
