Nutrition and Dietary Services

Research that demonstrates the impact nutrition has on a range of emotional, learning, and behavioural is becoming more pervasive. The CDT’s dietician is able to collaborate with other team members to rule out any diet related difficulties and advise on a more nutritional and healthy food intake. Our dietician has extensive experience working with children and adolescence and understands that convincing this population to eat food that they do not want can be difficult, but is often able to work around or with the individual to bring about a more healthy eating lifestyle.

In addition to working with families to promote more healthy eating, our dietician also collaborates with our psychiatrist and psychologists who are working with individuals who have eating or body image issues to assist in developing healthy food plans and calorie intake.
